Many Bayer Thai staff took part in a big tree-planting project in Bangkok.

Staff and their superiors at Bayer Thai Co. Ltd. took part in a big tree-planting project in the Bang Kho Laem suburb of Bangkok. Volunteers from Bayer joined employees of the Bangkok Municipal Authority (BMA) and members of the Association for Life and Environment in planting 15,500 trees to celebrate the birthday of Queen Sirikit. Reducing air pollution in the capital is one of her main concerns.

This Bayer-sponsored project was initiated by the BMA. By planting various types of trees in different places, the number of green areas in the city is to be increased. The new park, which spreads over an area of 2,493 square meters, is a popular place for relaxation and recreation, and to learn more about the environment. "This is a good initiative for private industry to give its support to," explained Bayer Thai's Managing Director, Axel Föllmer.
