Bayer organizes a large number of events to encourage interest in science among children and young people.

We also have a wide range of tools in Germany to make children and young people more interested in science. Chemistry teachers and student teachers are included in these programs as they act as effective multipliers. The list shows the main activities offered at Bayer's German sites:
  • Courses and internships for students and teachers to familiarize them with jobs in the chemical industry, e.g. career information weeks, career guidance days, career information events
  • Discussion forums
  • Laboratory sessions for school students
  • Support for science education by providing chemicals and appliances free of charge
  • Excursions and site tours for students and teachers
  • Experimental lectures
  • Short training courses for teachers
  • Support for "Jugend forscht," a research competition for young people, including hosting of the annual competition in the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
  • Support for the Chemical Olympics
