To encourage greater dialog with the local community, Bayer's sites in Leverkusen, Dormagen and Krefeld-Uerdingen in Germany are using "Infomobils," converted minibuses, which employees drive around the local area to talk to residents and give them information about the company. Safety is the prime topic, which is why the minibuses always carry brochures on safety measures taken by Bayer and on correct procedure in the event of an accident involving chemicals. The crew is also happy to answer questions about training opportunities, environmental protection facilities, associations sponsored by Bayer and organized events. And they actively solicit suggestions from our neighbors.
