Following the devastating earthquakes in India and El Salvador at the start of 2001, Bayer provided several million euros worth of medicines and other products, e.g. diagnostic appliances, agents to treat drinking water and household hygiene products, to reduce the risk of infection. The medicines supplied included the anti-tetanus injection Baytet® and Ciprobay® antibiotics.
