The Bayer Diversity Advisory Council (BDAC) has the aim of furthering understanding among different cultures. Its logo is a fingerprint.

In the mid-1990s Helge H. Wehmeier, President of Bayer Corporation, launched the Bayer Diversity Advisory Council (BDAC), with the aim of furthering cooperation and understanding among different cultures in the company. BDAC teams, comprising selected employees, have since been set up to address specific diversity issues across the company. Solutions to date include: development of a mentoring program to integrate new staff and to investigate possible advancement discrimination on grounds of race or gender; the introduction of work/life balance options and benefits; and a seminar for managerial staff, designed to break down stereotype images and prejudices. By 2000, over 70 percent of all Bayer Corporation managerial staff had taken part in this seminar. By popular request, a shortened version of this seminar is now being offered to all Bayer Corporation employees.
